JUNIOR COMMERCIAL SUPPORT – KORTRIJK

FLYINGGROUP, one of Europe's leading business jet operators, is looking for a Junior Commercial Executive at the office in Kortrijk

The Junior Commercial Support is a member of FLYINGGROUP’s commercial team, who will work under the supervision of the FLYINGGROUP representative at the International Airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem.

The Commercial Department has the joint objective of selling and organizing charter missions on the designated charter fleet with the ultimate goal of maximizing profits both for the owner of the aircraft and for FLYINGGROUP. This position is specifically designated to aid the further development of FLYINGGROUP’s activities at the International Airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem and will thus require the majority of time to be spent on this location.

In order to succeed in the charter objective the Junior Commercial Support will execute following primary tasks after receiving the relevant training:

  • Handle incoming charter requests by phone, e-mail or any other channel.
  • Asses if the request may result in a commercial opportunity in respect of the availability of the fleet, expectations of FLYINGGROUP and the aircraft owners.
  • Answer the request with a quote or feedback after verifying the initial doability of the itinerary and flight schedule and follow up sent quotes with the intention of confirming the charter booking.
  • Liaise with Flight Operations to assess the feasibility for confirmed quotes in detail. Mitigate issues where required in correspondence with Flight Operations and the client.
  • Request owner’s approval when applicable.
  • Issue the Charter Agreement and look after the correct signature and execution by all concerned parties.
  • Follow-up on the invoicing, payment and administrative follow-up of charter contracts.
  • Monitor the preparation and execution of the charter missions and handle any changes to the contracted charter conditions.
  • Collect relevant feedback after execution and share with the concerned persons, both internally and externally.
  • Handle the contact with the client in case of technical or operational issues.

Secondary tasks may include:

  • Logistic support tasks for the operations of FLYINGGROUP’s base at the International Airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem including facility maintenance, stock management, preparing aircraft for flights.
  • Be present during a charter flight departure and/or arrival where needed, in order to coordinate with the relevant crew, welcome & assist the clients to the aircraft and ensure overall service & quality levels.
  • Liaising with the airport’s ground handling company to ensure smooth operations.
  • Searching and contracting other operators for subcharter assignments.
  • Marketing related tasks such as sending out event invitations, collecting RSVP feedback, and assisting in the organization of events.
  • Miscellaneous tasks in support of the FLYINGGROUP representative at the International Airport Kortrijk-Wevelgem.

While doing so the Junior Commercial Support will:

  • Represent FLYINGGROUP with the highest standards.
  • Protect the interests of FLYINGGROUP, its partners and its aircraft owners.
  • Respect the agreements, procedures and financial expectations of the aircraft owners.
  • Adhere to the guidelines and principles outlined in the Charter Sales Procedure Manual.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates should showcase the following attributes:

  • An open and outgoing personality, with a talent for quickly making connections with people and leaving a trustworthy impression with them.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in communication, service delivery and administration.
  • Combining enthusiasm for the job with the ability to keep absolute discretion.
  • Knowledge of, experience in and passion for the aviation industry are not strictly required, but are a significant advantage.
  • Basic IT-skills and knowledge of Microsoft suite applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Native Dutch speaker with an excellent command of English. Other languages, in particular French, are considered a strong asset.
  • Be eligible to obtain an airside badge to access the secured areas on Kortrijk-Wevelgem Airport.
  • Ability to drive a car (license B) without any restrictions.
