FLYINGGROUP’S CEO Johan Van Lokeren did an interview with CH Aviation’s VP Publishing Vanja Popovic at AERO Friedrichshafen earlier this year. You can read the full article here and an introduction underneath.
FLYINGGROUP (FYG, Antwerp) is planning to add up to five aircraft by the end of 2026, alongside a broader expansion target of around 20 to 30 aircraft over the next three to five years, chief executive Johan Van Lokeren told ch-aviation in an exclusive interview at AERO Friedrichshafen.
“We have several aircraft scheduled for delivery before year-end, some already secured and others in advanced pipeline stages,” Van Lokeren said.
Newly inducted aircraft include a 2008-built, eight-seat Citation Jet 2+, registered in Luxembourg in early 2026 as LX-AIN (msn 525A-0387) and placed under FLYINGGROUP Luxembourg‘s air operator’s certificate (AOC), alongside a 2018-built, nine-seat, Belgium-registered Legacy 500, OO-CYN (msn 55000078), operated under FLYINGGROUP’s Belgium AOC.
Following these additions, FLYINGROUP’s Belgium and Luxembourg AOCs comprise over 45 aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, Honda Aircraft, Pilatus Aircraft, and Textron Aviation. The group further includes a Maltese AOC under Hyperion Aviation, with a fleet of approximately 10 aircraft.
Looking ahead, FLYINGGROUP targets an additional 20 to 30 aircraft over the next three to five years. “If someone comes along with an interesting project we will listen to it, and if it is a type we do not know yet, we have to be vigilant because sometimes you may add more problems than more revenue,” Johan explained.
