As you depart from FLYINGGROUP’s Antwerp homebase, the architectural presence of its state-of-the-art headquarters immediately stands out, complemented by a refined interior that showcases high-end furnishings and fine art. This in combination reflects the group’s commitment to delighting design and detail. Palette used on furnishings and organic forms invite to relax before take-off.
Amidst glasses of champagne, vibrant green plants, and aircraft stationed within the Falcon hangar, the walls of FLYINGGROUP proudly display a curated collection of fine art. Each piece tells a compelling narrative, resonating with the ethos of the leadership behind the airline. It’s clear that art not only enhances the aesthetic experience but also elevates the company’s broader strategic vision, offering a blend of visual appeal and profound reflections on contemporary values.
The foremost and most celebrated artist featured prominently within FLYINGGROUP’s headquarters is Panamarenko, whose craftsmanship holds a significant place within the FLYINGGROUP space. His work is a testament to the shared passion for aviation that both CEO Bernard Van Milders and the late Henri Van Herwegen, Panamarenko himself, deeply cherished. Both emphasize a sense of freedom and exploration, with aviation serving as a central theme. In this context, they embody a common spirit, one that soars, inspiring future generations to achieve their goals. Just as Panamarenko’s art pushes boundaries, so too does FLYINGGROUP, where limitless imagination and unwavering motivation make the extraordinary possible. What further unites FLYINGGROUP, Bernard Van Milders and Panamarenko, is their shared connection to Antwerp, a city known for its rich artistic heritage and innovative spirit. It is here, amidst the city’s unique blend of tradition and modernity, that their creative visions have flourished, shaping their work and elevating Antwerp as a hub of both artistic and technological ingenuity.
As both, an artist and a dispatcher at FLYINGGROUP, I am fortunate to work in an environment that consistently inspires and elevates my day. From the moment I step into the headquarters, I am greeted by Robert Silvers’ Migrant Mother and by Panamarenko’s striking sculpture Pepto Bismo which sets the tone for the day ahead. Inspiration continues to flow as I walk through the hangar, where the fleet of vintage aircraft is on display. Here, one can admire the iconic Belgian Fouga, the SV4 biplane, and even the renowned P40 Warhawk, each piece telling its own story. A collection of meticulously crafted aircraft models, showcased behind museum-quality glass, also serves as a reminder of the FLYINGGROUP legacy.
Every corner of the space blends aviation history with fine art, creating an atmosphere that fuels creativity and pride. It’s a constant reminder of the collective mission we share: to offer exceptional, personalized service to our distinguished passengers. We hope that our clients, too, feel the same sense of inspiration as they transition through these spaces, and carry that energy with them until they reach their destinations.
