FUTURE FLYINGGROUP

Future FLYINGGROUP is our long-term vision for the future of aviation, reflecting how we believe industry will evolve in the coming decades and the role FLYINGGROUP intends to play in shaping a more sustainable and innovative future of aviation.

Given the technologies currently available in the industry, the ‘net zero emission by 2050 action plan’ may seem ambitious and challenging and therefore out of reach. However, when considering the rapid pace of innovation and the promising technologies currently under development, this objective becomes realistic and attainable. FLYINGGROUP is committed to remaining at the forefront of this evolution by actively supporting, adopting and implementing these emerging innovations, helping to drive the industry toward a more sustainable future while contributing to the achievement of its long-term environmental goals.

Electric aviation is making remarkable progress and represents an important step towards cleaner air transport. While current electric aircraft are still limited in terms of range and passenger capacity, several highly promising solutions are nearing certification. One such example is the innovative eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft developed by Vertical Aerospace, designed to transform short-distance regional mobility and urban air transport. Recognizing the potential of this technology, FLYINGGROUP has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Vertical Aerospace for 25 + 25 aircraft, reaffirming our commitment to exploring next-generation sustainable air mobility solutions.

Furthermore, hydrogen-based propulsion is gaining attention as a potential long-term solution for reducing aviation’s environmental impact. Although further technological development and infrastructure investment are needed, hydrogen offers significant potential to support the industry’s transition to lower-emission operations. At FLYINGGROUP, we see hydrogen as a promising contributor to the future decarbonization of regional and business aviation.

In the nearer term, hybrid-electric aircraft are expected to be among the first sustainable aviation technologies to reach widespread commercial application. By combining conventional propulsion systems with electric power, these aircraft can significantly reduce fuel consumption, emissions, and noise while maintaining the operational flexibility required for regional aviation. With this in mind, FLYINGGROUP has also signed a Letter of Intent with Ascendance, a pioneering developer of hybrid-electric aircraft solutions. This partnership reflects our determination to support technologies that can deliver tangible environmental benefits in the short and medium term.

The transition towards sustainable aviation cannot be driven by a single technology, but by a combination of innovations evolving over time. From hybrid-electric propulsion and advanced electric aircraft to hydrogen-powered aviation, FLYINGGROUP is dedicated to supporting the most promising solutions as they mature. By partnering with leading innovators today, we are helping to build the aviation ecosystem of tomorrow, one that is cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable for future generations.
